Несмотря на то что заболевание было описано более 80 лет назад, многие аспекты его этиопатогенеза, факторов риска, эпидемиологии и клинического течения остаются недостаточно изученными. УДЗ, как правило, манифестирует в 5–6-й декаде жизни, тогда как случаи дебюта в детском и подростковом возрасте встречаются значительно реже, вызывают сложности в диагностике, особенно при наличии длительно существующих рецидивирующих эпителиальных нарушений роговицы. </p><sec><title>Цель</title><p>Цель: представить клинический случай узловой дегенерации Зальцмана у пациентки подросткового возраста и проанализировать особенности клинического течения и лечения заболевания. </p></sec><sec><title>Пациент и методы</title><p>Пациент и методы. Описан клинический случай пациентки 16 лет с проявлениями воспалительного процесса передних отрезков глаз на OU. Проведено комплексное офтальмологическое обследование, включавшее оценку остроты зрения, биомикроскопию, кератометрию и авторефрактометрию, оптическую когерентную томографию. В рамках лечения выполнена поверхностная кератэктомия с последующим медикаментозным сопровождением, направленным на купирование воспалительных изменений и восстановление эпителия роговицы, а также применением бандажной мягкой контактной линзы с кератопротекторным лечением в послеоперационном периоде. </p></sec><sec><title>Результаты</title><p>Результаты. При первичном осмотре выявлены типичные для УДЗ субэпителиальные и поверхностно-стромальные узелковые помутнения с приподнятым эпителием. Проведенное хирургическое и консервативное лечение привело к полной эпителизации роговицы, уменьшению выраженности изменений, улучшению зрительных функций и стабилизации состояния глазной поверхности. В течение 6 месяцев динамического наблюдения признаков прогрессирования заболевания не отмечено. </p></sec><sec><title>Заключение</title><p>Заключение. Представленный клинический случай демонстрирует редкий вариант течения узловой дегенерации Зальцмана у пациентки подросткового возраста и подчеркивает важность своевременной диагностики и комплексного подхода к лечению для достижения благоприятного клинического исхода и стабилизации зрительных функций.</p></sec></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>Salzmann nodular degeneration (SND) is a rare, non-inflammatory, slowly progressive degenerative corneal disease characterized by the formation of superficial bluish-white nodules measuring 1–3 mm in diameter. Although the condition was first described more than 80 years ago, many aspects of its etiopathogenesis, risk factors, epidemiology, and clinical course remain insufficiently studied. SND typically manifests in the fifth or sixth decade of life, whereas onset in childhood or adolescence is considerably less common and may present diagnostic challenges, particularly in patients with long-standing recurrent epithelial corneal disorders. </p><sec><title>Purpose</title><p>Purpose: to present a clinical case of Salzmann nodular degeneration in an adolescent patient and to analyze the features of its clinical course and management. </p></sec><sec><title>Patient and methods</title><p>Patient and methods. A clinical case of a 16-year-old female patient with bilateral anterior segment involvement is described. A comprehensive ophthalmologic examination was performed, including assessment of visual acuity, slit-lamp biomicroscopy, keratometry, autorefractometry, and optical coherence tomography. Treatment included superficial keratectomy followed by postoperative medical therapy aimed at controlling inflammatory changes and promoting corneal epithelial recovery, as well as use of a bandage soft contact lens combined with keratoprotective therapy during the postoperative period.</p></sec><sec><title>Results</title><p>Results. At initial examination, typical SND findings were identified, including subepithelial and superficial stromal nodular opacities with epithelial elevation. The combined surgical and conservative treatment resulted in complete corneal re-epithelialization, reduction in the severity of corneal opacities, improvement in visual acuity, and stabilization of the ocular surface. During a 9-month follow-up period, no signs of disease progression were observed. </p></sec><sec><title>Conclusion</title><p>Conclusion.
